The GOP asked him to stop.
I’m studing for my CISSP (learning a lot too) and one of the problem I have is puzzling through the meanings of the definitions. I’m doing this the slow and old fashioned way where I read a paragraph, then attempt to type it out in my own words. Here’s a sentence I’m stuck on:
An identity-based access control is a type of discretionary access control that is based on an individual’s identity
Now, I understand how Identity differs from authentication, the practice of verifying someone’s identity, but when you’ve just left
“manditory access“, “rule-based“, “user-directed“, and are about to enter “role-based” and “task-based“, a little clarification goes a long way.
I got Steph an IRiver Flash MP3 player a while ago. It only took a couple months before she broke the play button on it. She’s kinda hard on stuff.
Back then, we sent it in and they sent us back another one. Well, she just broke it again in the same way and we’re past the one year warranty. I’d call it a defective product, if not for the fact that this sort of thing seems to happen to her with items that are normally considered pretty rugged.
So now I need to either get her another one, or give her mine. CNet has a review of MP3 players that was updated less then a week ago. I’m torn on whether I want to get her something nice, something tough, or something cheap.

Converting from ten pages of text into an IM-like conversation.
remote sales guy: Can we do $standard_stuff with $product?
member_of_team: Sorry, the $vendor supports it, but not the $product - perhaps PM can clarify.
little_boss_PM: zinger, can you explain?
zinger: Nope, I know it’s dumb, but I don’t know why you made it that way.
member_of_team: $product = Dumb, let’s un-dumb it, at least a little.
little_boss_PM: $product is defined, Nyah, Nyah. Go fish with (custom multimonth limited action group that won’t do it anyways)
member_of_team: That’s dumb, let’s fix and just sell it instead.
zinger: (tired, wired on caffeine, writing at 6:30am): And we’ll rebrand it to something that makes sense too..
big_boss_PM: What you say? Someone setup branding the bomb! Oh noes!
zinger: Joking based on customer feedback. No really, please unfuck $product
big_boss_PM: little_boss, write something about $product being fucked before we got it
zinger: No, we already had this discussion, let’s discuss how we can meet needs with a change of one word, really it’s easy…

Hmm…..
Okay, some of my prior political postings on here have been, some would say, demagogic, in the past, but in this case, I’m pretty sure I’m just stating the facts.
The Republicans have a candidate who was in the National Guard (my personal favorite element of the military, haha) during Vietnam and, much like yours truly, took a lackadaisical view about showing up to drill.
The Democrats have a candidate who served in Vietnam, won several medals, has shrapnel in his leg, and then later protested the war.
Whose military service comes under attack the most? The Democrat’s of course.
