Well, we picked a great time to go hit Vail. A super blizzard came through and closed down the airport. We thought our flight (which was scheduled to go out today at 7:40pm) would be ok - but we got a call this morning that it had been canceled. Next flight back is Christmas, so I guess we’ll be amusing ourselves out here for the next three days. Could be worse - at least we’re stuck in a nice 4 star hotel instead of at the airport.
Here’s some pictures of our fun so far.

edit: we wrapped up our trip with a fire alarm drill at 6:30AM at the hotel, then got home about 2:30AM from the airport.
I just got to the local game store at 5:00am. There were 9 people in line in front of me, including several people in a tent who had been camping out all night. They’re all here for wii’s, except for two kids who took a taxi over and showed up about ten minutes after me. They want a ps3. Nobody knows how many wii’s are here, although one woman says they told her 6 on Friday.
I’m a little suprised, there’s actually more women here then men.

When I went to drain off a little extra blood for the vampires today, they asked me to do the double-red instead of whole blood. Basically they hook you up to a machine that sucks out your blood, then spits back your plasma, then sucks out more blood, then spits your plasma back to you again. It’s supposed to be the equivalent of donating twice in one sitting.
This was the first time doing it - but they seemed to really want me to do it this way, so I agreed.
