*Boggle* The only reason why that would explain why you don’t buy one is because you have no idea how most guns are made.
Typical disassembly ( field stripping ) of a 1911 breaks down in to about 7 pieces, and that’s it.

1911 is an old design, quite a bit more complicated than modern guns and more prone to failure.
