I just got to the local game store at 5:00am. There were 9 people in line in front of me, including several people in a tent who had been camping out all night. They’re all here for wii’s, except for two kids who took a taxi over and showed up about ten minutes after me. They want a ps3. Nobody knows how many wii’s are here, although one woman says they told her 6 on Friday.
I’m a little suprised, there’s actually more women here then men.

At6:30, there are 18 people in line here, and an estimated 75 at the target across the street. Rumor is that they have 7 or 8 wii’s and 6 ps3s.
7:15, the Target just opened up and told everybody their numbers. They had 18 in stock. A few hopefuls drove over and joined us in line. We’re now at 32 people in line for an estimated 6-9 units.
Wife came over and brought me coffee.
At 8:30, a guy from the store showed up and told us the totals. Six wii’s, 2 PS3’s. I probably could have gotten one of the PS3’s, but the kids who showed up after me obviously wanted one more then I did. So, I went back home.
bummer man. let us know how you like it when you get the wii. i am in love with the ds lite we have, and curious about the wii.
what games you looking at? zelda?
The sports package that comes with it looks pretty amazing, as do trama center and red steel. I think it’ll be a couple months after Christmas before I see one, the way things are going.
Here’s a disturbing story about a radio contest called “Hold your wee for a wii”
