I started up a planted tank a little over a month ago. Initially I just dumped a bunch of potting soil, sand, plants, fishies in it. After a while, it was basically mud and never really cleared up.
So, I pulled out the plants and inhabitants and dumped out the potting soil, and replaced it with Flourite. Here’s what it looks like four days later – big improvement.
