What’s this, a new box?

Let’s cut it open and see what’s inside?

A box in a box? Let’s pull it out.

Close up on the security seal.

Close up on the label on the side.

Let’s cut open the small box and see what’s inside?

And there’s a smaller box with it.

Let’s take it out of the plastic foam and lay it flat.

Rotate 90 degrees. My, that’s a lot of warnings.

Another one from the side, closer this time.

Flip it over, here’s the bottom.

Remove the plastic, here’s the bottom – now naked.

Naked top.

Open it up.

From the right side.

From the back. Check out those designer cat food bowls.

From the left side.

And another from the front, with power adapter and battery.

I ran XP on it for a while, then decided to try Vista.

results – Vista runs FAST. The pretty task-switching stuff is neat too.

According to the Vista performance rating, it’s doing pretty well, with the lowest score in 3d graphics.

Specs:

Original description: T7200(2GHz), 1GB RAM, 120GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1680×1050 LCD, 128MB ATI Radeon X1400, CDRW/DVDRW, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, IEEE 1394, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 6c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro

I added another gig of ram and a 9 cell battery to the list. Otherwise, it’s stock.
